Surface Protection for Concrete
Various environmental contaminants such as water stains, mosses, lichens, and mold, as well as soot and petroleum contamination, can be avoided. This is achieved by creating high surface tension, making the surface highly hydrophobic and oleophobic.
The molecules of SiloTreat® Concrete BE for surface protection of concrete have a shallow penetration depth because they are larger than the molecules of SiloTreat® Concrete BE for deep impregnation of concrete surfaces.
The molecules of SiloTreat® Concrete BE for surface protection chemically bond with the surface and are resistant to climatic wear (UV radiation). These two qualities guarantee effective long-term protection. Unlike standard coatings, which form a film and seal the surface, SiloTreat® Concrete BE allows the release of water vapor. The concrete retains its "breathing" ability, moisture does not linger, and the building material is effectively protected.
With SiloTreat® Concrete BE, you economically achieve an easy-to-clean surface that prevents the formation of stains, moss, and dirt. Thus, it is possible to easily and quickly clean concrete structures.
For longer-lasting protection, it can be used in combination with the deep impregnator SiloTreat® Concrete BE. The waiting time between the application of SiloTreat® Concrete BE and the surface hydrophobizer SiloTreat® Concrete BE should be at least 2 weeks.
